Explore the Natural and Geological Wonders of Coal Creek with NPC!

Join the Northcentral Pennsylvania Conservancy (NPC) for a special public hike led by Julie Weaver, a geologist, former science teacher, and member of NPC’s Board of Directors. This hike will take you through NPC’s Coal Creek property, a site rich in both natural beauty and geological significance.
During this guided tour, Julie will share her expertise on the unique geological features of the area, as well as the ongoing conservation efforts by NPC and its partners.
Event Details:
- Meeting Point: Arbon Cemetery (along White Street, about 0.10 miles from Gulick St., Blossburg, PA 16912)
- After sign-in and introductions, we’ll cross the road and start our walk up to a small discharge site, followed by a hike to a vista overlooking Blossburg. The trail is uphill on the way out and downhill on the return, along a dirt road that is somewhat rutted.
- The hike will take approximately 45 minutes roundtrip, so please wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring water.

- Enjoy the scenic views and natural beauty of the Coal Creek property.
