Join NPC on September 12, 2024, at Island Park in Blossburg for an evening celebrating recent conservation successes and projects underway in Tioga County. Enjoy an optional hike of NPC’s ‘Coal Creek’ property with NPC Board Member Julie Weaver at 3:45 PM, followed by a picnic dinner at 5:30 PM and a program update at 6:30 PM.

- Optional Hike with Julie Weaver:
- Time: 3:45 PM
- Location: Meet at Arbon Cemetery. After sign-in and introductions, we’ll cross the road for a scenic hike to a small discharge and a stunning vista overlooking Blossburg. The hike is uphill on the way out and downhill on the way back on a somewhat rutted dirt road. This portion is weather-dependent, so please RSVP to our office, and we’ll notify you if the event is canceled due to rain.
- Picnic Dinner:
- Time: 5:30 PM (followed by Program at 6:30pm)
- Location: Large pavilion on the east side of Island Park. Parking is available at the pavilion. Be prepared to walk on gravel and grass and sit at picnic tables. The event will proceed rain or shine, with adjustments to the seating area as needed.
- Menu: Tossed salad, pulled pork sandwiches, mac and cheese, baked beans, and brownies.
