About Your Organization
Formed in 1990, NPC was created to permanently conserve the lands and waters that make the Northcentral region such a special place to live, work, and visit. Today, NPC remains a locally supported and locally run land trust that reflects the interests and needs of the communities throughout the region. Your membership to NPC continues this local conservation effort
As a member, you are…
Conserving the region’s natural resources. From generational family farms to working forests – NPC’s conservation easement lands help clean the air, increase groundwater recharge, connect wildlife corridors, and provide a variety of other ecological and health benefits.
Creating and enhancing recreational access to some of the area’s most beloved outdoor destinations – including the Loyalsock Trail, Pine Creek Rail Trail, Pine Creek, Penns Creek, as well as the West Branch of the Susquehanna River!
Through NPC’s role with the Northcentral Stream Partnership, making the region’s local water resources healthier while maintaining working agricultural lands.
Nourishing our communities and creating opportunities for people to connect to, learn from, and engage with nature.
There are a number of meaningful ways you can give to Northcentral Pennsylvania Conservancy (NPC).
You may donate securely online using a credit card or PayPal account, or you may download a Form to make gifts by cash or check.

Recurring Donation
Establish a recurring donation with NPC by simply checking “Monthly”, “Quarterly”, or “Annually” on the donation page.
Becoming a Monthly Giver is:
- Convenient! Your monthly donation will process automatically, with no calls to make or envelopes to mail.
- Environmentally friendly! It reduces the need for mailings from NPC and, in the process, preserves our precious forests.
- Easier on your budget! Spreading your support over the year monthly makes it easy to give generously.
Honorary/Memorial
You can pay tribute to family and friends through an honorary or memorial gift to NPC.
Made in memory of a deceased relative or friend or in honor of a special occasion such as a birthday or wedding, your gift will help them play an important role in the conservation of Northcentral Pennsylvania.
- For Memorial Gifts: Please provide the name of the person being memorialized and indicate the name and address of a family member or friend of the deceased to whom we can send an acknowledgment of your gift.
- For Honorary Gifts: Please provide the name of the person being honored and their address and indicate if you want us to alert them of your gift.
If you would like to establish a memorial or honorarium fund, or contribute to an existing one, please contact the office at 570-323-6222. Memorial gifts and honorary gifts can be mailed directly to the NPC office or made securely online.
Planned Giving
You can have a significant impact in conserving land long after you’re gone, by making a planned gift.
There are many tools you can use to include NPC in your estate plan, such as a simple bequest. If you are interested in leaving a planned gift, please contact the office at 570-323-6222 so that we may thank you in this lifetime and discuss any of these options further.

Pictured here are longtime members, John and Bobbie Way. Both held a deep love and respect for the land, which they infectiously shared with others. After John’s passing, NPC was the recipient of numerous memorial gifts and then a bequest from Bobbie’s will. We are continuously grateful for these gifts!
Gifts of Land
A gift of land to NPC can offer certain tax advantages, such as helping to reduce estate, income taxes, and property taxes.
If you wish to make a donation of land to the Conservancy, please contact the office at 570-323-6222 beforehand so we can work together on this important decision.
Contributions are deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. NPC’s official registration and financial information may be obtained from the PA Department of State by calling toll-free within PA 1-800-732-0999. Registration does not imply endorsement.
