Containing a five acre mitigation wetland, a wooded wetland, cropland, acres of planted stream side buffers, and approximately 4,300 feet of Chillisquaque Creek and its West Branch, this was the first conservation easement agreement of any type in Montour County. The protected area borders PA Route 54 north of Washingtonville. PPL Generation donated this easement to NPC after constructing the mitigation wetland near their electric generation plant.
