We’ll meet at the Montour Preserve Visitors’ Center parking lot at 12:00pm to hike the Chilisuagi Trail around Lake Chillisquaque. This four mile-long hike will be family-friendly and relatively easy, with mostly flat trails and occasional stops to discuss points of interest. Participants will need to be able to hike four miles in roughly three hours, maintaining an average walking pace of roughly 1.3 miles per hour.
Please dress for the weather with boots or other sturdy footwear and bring snacks, water, and other supplies you might need for a mid-winter hike of this duration. Please remember that dogs are not allowed at the Montour Preserve; only service animals are allowed.
This event will be held rain (snow) or shine, except in the event of a National Weather Service-issued weather warning.
This event is free to all participants. No registration is required.
