7/19/25 Paddle Happy JUMBO – West Branch Susquehanna River

6/27/25 – Tie Dye Party at the Blossburg Memorial Library (part of the Rivers, Coal & Crafts series!)
Let’s make art from an unexpected source—abandoned mine drainage! At this free event for all ages, you’ll learn how iron from an abandoned mine drainage discharge ends up in waterways and leaves behind that rusty red and orange color. Then, we will use a dye made from that iron to tie dye t-shirts you can take home that day. Registration is through the Blossburg Memorial Library.

6/25/25 – Cookie Mining (part of the Rivers, Coal & Crafts series!)
Kids (and adults) can learn more about the process of mining by “mining” chocolate chip cookies for the chocolate chips. The Tioga County Conservation District will lead participants in this fun, free workshop that ends with eating an “unmined” cookie. Registration is through the Blossburg Memorial Library.

6/12/25 – Urban Sketch Workshop (Part of the Rivers, Coal & Crafts series!) – EVENT IS FULL!
Bibi S. Brion will gather participants at the Blossburg Memorial Library for some basics before the group heads out to sketch along Blossburg’s Main Street. This is a free event, with all supplies provided, but spots are limited.

4/27/25 – Intro to Fly Fishing Workshop with the PA Fish & Boat Commission (WAITLIST)
Join PFBC and NPC staff for this FREE program, designed to introduce you to the basics of fly fishing (e.g. gear, casting, on-water fly fishing experience)! As a part of the Fishing Tackle Loaner Program, NPC will supply all the gear and PFBC will provide the instruction. This program is designed for ages 12 years and older.

4/5/25 – Tioga River Gnome Make-a-Long (Part of the Rivers, Coal & Crafts series!)
Make your own Tioga River Gnome out of mini-skeins telling the story of the Tioga River and its restoration. More details…

4/12/25 – Bicycle Tune-up Workshop
NPC is partnering with Williamsport Bicycle Recycle to offer a FREE Bicycle Tune-up Workshop again! Registration is required. More details.

3/21/25 – NPC’s Annual Celebrity Waiter Night 2025
Local celebrities will trade their usual roles to wait tables and tend bar, all to support the Northcentral Pennsylvania Conservancy’s local conservation efforts. Come enjoy a delicious meal or sip your favorite drink, knowing your generous tips will help conserve and enhance access to the region’s lands and waters. More details…

Orchestrated by FCFP and conducted entirely online, the event is a 30-hour giving campaign designed to raise important funds for area nonprofits. A portion of your donation made to NPC during this time period will be matched by a stretch fund – increasing the value of your gift!
