Stewards of the Headwaters

Including the Northcentral Pennsylvania Conservancy (NPC) in your estate plans is a powerful way to ensure the forests, farms, and waters you cherish today remain part of our region’s future. When you inform us of your gift, you become part of Stewards of the Headwaters, a special circle of supporters who are shaping the next generation of conservation.

What is Stewards of the Headwaters?

Stewards of the Headwaters is NPC’s legacy society. It honors individuals and couples who have chosen to leave a legacy gift, or “planned gift,”—such as a bequest, retirement plan designation, or life insurance policy—to the Northcentral Pennsylvania Conservancy.

As a member, you’ll be recognized (if you choose), invited to special events, and receive our deepest thanks for your lasting commitment to conservation.

Why Legacy Gifts Matter

Legacy gifts make some of NPC’s most impactful work possible. They provide long-term support for conservation and organizational stability, ensuring NPC continues serving the region for generations to come.

These gifts often cost nothing during your lifetime and can be made in a variety of ways, such as (but not limited to):

  • Including NPC in your will or trust
  • Naming NPC as a beneficiary of a retirement plan or life insurance policy
  • Making a gift through a charitable trust or annuity

Submit a Legacy Gift Declaration

If you’ve already included NPC in your estate plans—or you’re ready to do so—we invite you to complete a Legacy Gift Declaration Form. This simple, non-binding form lets us thank you now and welcome you to the Stewards of the Headwaters community.
