NPC is governed by a board of directors with a broad range of expertise in law, accounting, education, forestry, recreation, manufacturing, banking, real estate and government. The group meets monthly.
Members of the board serve a three-year term, with the option for another three-year term. After two successive terms, members must rotate off the board for at least one year.
